Server Technical Information

Our server is hosted by UltimateGameserver.com and is currently located in Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.

Ultimate Game Server opened for business in September, 2002. Our's was the first TFC server that they hosted. They now providing hosting services for over 30 of today's popular games.

They provide around the clock Tech Support available by support ticket or phone.You can upload your own server goodies, or they can do that for you. If you are computer-literate enough to understand FTP and what is needed to run a TFC server, you can do it all yourself. They will walk you through doing it and provide you with phone or email based "training" as needed. They also have a control panel that allows you full control of your server from restarting to reinstalling to updates.

Their pricing is very reasonable, compared to other servers I investigated. The cost per month for our 14 player server is about $12 a month.

Server:
 UGS uses only premium, cutting edge hardware for their servers to insure maximum performance and reliability.

Connection:
 UGS's datacenters sit ON the backbone, not just near it. From their website information page:

"We offer only premium, multi-homed tier one networks like Peer1 and Internap so your ping is as low as possible and out-frag the competition. Our servers are spread throughout six datacenter locations across the US, strategically chosen for the best routing across large areas."
General Server Rules

1. I understand. Swearing happens. But, lets keep it at that. Abusive language will be dealt with accordingly.

2. Inappropriate names will NOT be tolerated. If you have sexual orientation or racial issues, I suggest you find another server to play on. Name filters are in effect and will cause you to be kicked if you attempt to use a name deemed inappropriate.

3. Use of the [TMoD] tag will get you kicked. The tag is reserved for the Bots.

4. Respawn camping or spamming and/or door blocking will NOT be tolerated.

5. Always remember you are a Guest on our server. You have absoulutely no "right" to be here. Show the admins appropriate respect. They are paying for this server and/or have earned the right to be in their positions. All I'm asking for is common courtesy here, folks!

6. If you become a problem you will be kicked, or at least tormented so you'll leave on your own.

7. Feel free to ask questions. I will try my best to answer them.

8. Please keep your complaining to a minimum. Whining about problems during gameplay only irritates everyone. If you feel you have a valid problem that needs to be addressed, please feel free to send me an email. coma_toast ( at ) toastystfc.com
